Christophe F. Maire

Christophe is one of the partners of Atlantic Ventures. He has more than 15 years entrepreneurial and investing track record in media- and mobile communications-related technology areas. He has consistently delivered product innovation and led the way in the development of new services.
Christophe co-founded and co-headed gate5 AG, the Berlin-based pioneer in mobile mapping & community service before selling the company to Nokia in late 2006. As head of Maps and Explore, Christophe contributed to build a successful worldwide service business for Nokia. The unit today employs more than 300 qualified developers in Berlin alone.
Before that, Christophe led Filmstudio Babelsberg FXcenter, one of Europe’s largest digital media production venture for which he raised in excess on €50m Venture capital. He also initiated CyberCinema, the first European network of electronic cinema venues. Christophe also co-Founded 2020 Filmproduktion and Pallas Film, two successful independent feature film production outlets. Christophe started his career as innovation & product design manager for Toto K.K. in Tokyo, Japan.
A Swiss citizen, Christophe studied business & administration at the University of St. Gallen and Barcelona and attended executive education in NYU and Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.

Olivier Kobel
Partner
Olivier is a partner of Atlantic Ventures. He has more than 15 years of experience in supporting entrepreneurs and investors in corporate finance related matters, i.e. investing in private businesses, new ventures, add-on acquisitions, disposals, fund-raising, portfolio management and financial restructuring.
His background includes 3i plc, a leading European private equity investment firm, Zetra International, a Zurich based small- and mid-market M&A boutique, and Monitor Company, a global strategy consultancy.
Olivier is a graduate from St.Gallen University and the London School of Economics.
Jens-Philipp Klein
Venture Partner
Jens-Philipp joined Atlantic Ventures in 2007. As a venture partner he identifies startup opportunities and kickstarts new companies.
Before joining the company, Jens-Philipp has worked 2 years for Sal. Oppenheim, a Germany-based private bank. He gathered further experience in the financial sector at Commerzbank, Lincoln International and Dublin-based Depfa Bank.
Jens-Philipp studied business & administration at Witten/Herdecke University (Germany) and Göteborg School of Business (Sweden) and holds a B.A. in Business Economics.


Simon Fabich
Venture Partner
Before joining Atlantic Ventures, Simon worked as a strategy consultant for Roland Berger. He holds a Master degree in Strategy and International Management from the University of St. Gallen and an MBA from Nanyang Business School.
Simon has extensive Asia experience as he studied Chinese studies at the Fudan University in Shanghai, worked in Asia and speaks Mandarin.

Steffi Brinkmann
Partner Assistant
Steffi has been with Atlantic since 2010. As a partner assistant, she is in charge of the back office and supports the startups in all kinds of administration matters. In parallel she works for txtr, where she is responsible for HR, finance and accounting.
